Tuition Structure
Bi-Monthly Tuition is invoiced in the first week of each bi-monthly dance session (August 1st — 1st 20% tuition (first 5% is collected at the time of registration), November 1st — 2nd 25% tuition, January 1st — 3rd 25% tuition, and March 1st — 4th 25% tuition). Tuition is itemized monthly.
Tuition is calculated per class session — the weekly rate multiplied by the number of times a class meets that month. For example, if you take 1 class at $18/class session and the class meets 4 times that month, your monthly estimate is $18 × 4 = $72.
Default payment plan is quarterly (25% of annual tuition). If you would like to set up monthly payments instead, please email us and we'll get a plan arranged for you.
Ballet & Special Classes
Ballet classes have a fixed price based on the number of times the class meets within the year. We have pre-calculated that amount for you and will include it when tuition is posted.
Special Classes are a one-time, fixed-price payment due at the time of registration. This covers the class, rehearsals, and any costume needed for the class.
Family Discounts & Payment Options
Tuition is charged per family. The more classes your family enrolls in, the lower your per-class rate. Quarterly amounts are based on your specific class day(s) — Friday classes have fewer sessions due to holiday scheduling.

$14/class is the maximum rate. Families enrolling in more than 5 classes are capped at $14 per class session regardless of total enrollment.
Monthly estimates reflect a typical 4-week month and will vary slightly based on how many times each class meets. Quarterly ranges reflect the difference in class sessions across days of the week (Fri: 29 sessions, Tue/Sat: 33 sessions) based on the Sept 14, 2026 – May 28, 2027 season and scheduled holidays.

Absences
Tuition is charged on a per-class basis. Cultivate Dance Collaborative does not pro-rate tuition for skipped classes or absences. In the event of an absence, your dancer may make up a class at the same level or younger.
Studio Cancellation due to Inclement Weather
Cultivate Dance Collaborative follows the Waconia school district regarding studio closings due to inclement weather.
The first occurrence of studio closing will result in a full refund of tuition. The second occurrence (of a subsequent day — two Mondays, for example) will result in a make-up class at a later date. If a make-up class is offered, no refund will be given. If a make-up class is not offered, a full refund will be given for that class. In the case of a third or more subsequent cancellations, a make-up class will be offered; however, the studio will not issue a refund for the third or more subsequent cancellations, even if a make-up class is not offered. Remember, your tuition supports more than our wonderful teachers — it also covers our building, administrative, and other studio expenses. Thank you for your understanding.
Registration Fee
A one-time registration fee of $40 applies for the 2025–26 season.
Register by June 15th and the $40 registration fee is waived.
At the time of registration, 5% of your annual tuition is collected to secure your spot. This deposit is applied directly to your tuition balance.
Recital Fee
The total recital fee is $100 per dancer (each additional dancer in the family is $50). This is split into four payments throughout the year and posted with tuition.
